The holidays are here and aren’t they just beautiful!  The lights, the smells, the decorations!  No matter who you are you can’t help smiling a little when you see the jolly fat man himself!  With this time of the season get all you’re shopping done and then get out and enjoy Buffalo in the winter!

My favorite part of the holiday season was the Nutcracker Ballet.  Yes I can hear you groaning guys but seriously if you want to score some awesome points with your better half take to the ballet!  Seriously the Nutcracker isn’t what you think!  There are battles and giant mice and fighting at one point!  You’ll love it or at least get a great nap in!  Anyways the Nutcracker is a must this year for your holiday season and it happens to be playing over at UB Center for the Arts this weekend!  Spend the night at the edge of your seat as Clara and her Prince take to exciting lands as they travel around the world in a hot air balloon.  Even watch in China as a giant dragon takes center stage.  It’s a tale you don’t want to miss!  Today they have a performance at 7p and tomorrow the show starts at 1p.

Another great musical that is a must see this holiday season is definitely a holiday favorite – Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer!  This performance is happening next week at the Lancaster Opera House.  They have shows Friday at 7, Saturday at 11, 2:30, 7pm, and on Sunday at 11 and 2:30.  Spend the show watching a heartwarming Holiday Classic of a red nose reindeer named Rudolph.   You’ll get to watch Rudolph and all of his reindeer friend and even Santa and Mrs. Claus in this Live stage performance.  The best part of this show is there’s audience participation!  You’ll get the chance to join in reindeer games and more!  See Rudolph this year at the Lancaster Opera House.

While you’re out in Lancaster make sure you swing by Christmasville!  I went to this one last night and I have to say it’s one of my favorite displays.  The Village of Lancaster invites everyone out to celebrate the holiday season this year with Christmasville.  You’ll spend the evening wandering thru the beautiful lights while checking out some amazing AM&A’s Displays (and then explaining to your children what AM&A’s was!)  These displays are very cool!  While you’re there you can even get some of your holiday shopping done right in their downtown business district!  When you’re there, make sure you swing by and get your photo taken with Santa or build crafts.  Christmasville runs thru December 31st.  If you want more information check out for all details!
