How Much Would You Spend On The Constitution?

I watched National Treasure last night. Yea, it was a slow night on TV. But what a coincidence to come in to work today and find this story ion the news. There was an auction recently in which a copy of the Constitution was sold for just under $10 million. Not just any copy. This was George Washington’s personal copy. It includes notes that he took and some small stories he wrote in the margin of the copy! Pretty cool stuff for us history buffs. Being able to have the money to buy such a thing, even cooler!

The copy of the Constitution and Bill of Rights was in a book purchased for $9,826,500 by the Mount Vernon Ladies Association. It is signed by Washington and dates to 1789, his first year in office
