It's fair/festival time, and one of my favorite things about local fairs is the work that the 4-H kids put in to getting ready for their exhibits. Whether it's talent contests or animal auctions, these kids (and their families) put a year-long effort in to making sure they have the best they can have to offer visitors to the fair.

The Wyoming County Fair starts on August 9, and the organizers are asking for your support for the 4-H in their effort to rejuvenate and refurbish some of the exhibit areas. I spoke with 4-H Community Educator Tanya Nickerson about the need for pens in the auction areas, specifically the goat barns...
