I Found Out What Has Been Eating My Pears!

A couple years ago, I went away on vacation, and when I came back, my pear tree, which was completely full of pears before I left, was completely empty. There wasn't a single pear to be found in the tree or on the ground. Every single one had disappeared! Today, I found out who took them.

It was as I had expected all along. I have deer in my backyard. I didn't know that right away, but this morning when I got up, I found the culprits as they made their way through.

Now don't get me wrong, I love having them. The kids get excited when they're around, and they're not causing any damage...yet. But I do like the pears. So I'm looking for suggestions for ways to keep them away from my tree and my vegetable garden. Do you have any?
