John Lennon said, "Life is what happens while you're busy making other plans". For me, that is one of the truest statements I have ever heard.

I was born and raised here and have spent my entire life here. But I did not plan to be here at this stage of my life. About 25 years ago, I was trying hard to get a radio job in another market and leave Buffalo. After many years of sending out tapes and resumes, I finally gave up on my dream. I came close to moving to Knoxville, Tennessee to program country radio station there, but we just could not complete the deal. So I put that dream on the shelf and concentrated on my life here in Buffalo.

Once you have children as I did, my priorities began to shift. Somehow, it was no longer important that I secure that radio job in a larger market to earn the "rock star" dollars. It's funny because in the past ten years, I have received a few job offers from radio stations in other cities who wanted to hire me. I turned down every one. My focus is here in Western New York. At this point, I will probably stay here for the rest of my life. I am now proud to say, "I live in Buffalo".
