Looks like the rest of the hockey world is recognizing the hard work that the Sabres and Western New York have put in to making this area the hockey capital of the United States.

I found this article from the Detroit Free Press that poses the question " is Buffalo the new Hockeytown." A name that has been historically given to Detroit because of their storied tradition of being the hockey center of America.

Buffalo has done something that will make any Hockeytown resident envious: It just opened a 19-story building that is devoted to amateur hockey. Experts say it's unique in North America.

Looks like Buffalo is making the right moves to be the place players want to be and, if everything goes as planned, will one day win a Stanley Cup to bring the idea of being "Hockey Heaven" full circle.
