A wild finish, but finally goaltender Robin Lehner picks up his first win as a Buffalo Sabre.  It didn't become official until the referees checked the video and found that what appeared to be the tying goal by the Ottawa Senators crossed the goal line a tenth of a second too late.  Lehner finished with 34 saves.

Jack Eichel led the scoring with a pair of goals, scoring one on the power play to tie the game at 2-2 off an assist by Lehner and then he scored the game winner on a tap in unassisted for his third multi-goal game of the season.  Eichel now has 16 goals on the season, one behind Ryan O'Reilly.

After the Senators opened the scoring early in the first period, Evander Kane tied it with his 11th goal of the season.

The win ends a 3-game losing streak.  The Sabres are now off until after the All-Star break.  Their next start is next Wednesday against the Canadiens in Montreal.
