Barefoot and buckwild; that's how Jake Owen rolls. And that's how he sang 'Beachin'' at the 2014 CMT Music Awards.

Wearing a casual white tee, knee-length shorts, and sporting his always surfer-smooth hair, Owen was the life of the [beach] party.

He hinted at a Nashville beach party earlier, saying, ""They can expect to see the entire downtown Nashville beachin'. And that's a big deal for me, being a kid that moved here from Florida that is now outside the huge Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, and I have the whole downtown throwing beach balls around. I feel like I got to bring a little bit of my past in Florida with me up here to Nashville. I feel like I've made it."

His bare feet only added to the beach vibe, and even though it was outside of Nashville's Bridgestone Arena, it had a definite tropical feel with palm trees and a tank top-clad crowd. As he sang, fans tossed giant beach balls around, making outside of the arena the place to be!

'Beachin'' is the second single from his fourth studio album 'Days of Gold.' Owen is up for CMT Performance of the Year for his ‘Days of Gold’ performance on CMT Hot 20 Countdown.
