Tuesday night (Feb. 7), Jake Owen was among the lucky few Nashville residents who were able to see an early screening of the highly anticipated new movie ‘Act of Valor.’ But seeing the movie prior to it hitting theaters was not the only honor and perk Owen experienced that night. The singer was also able to rub elbows with some active duty Navy SEALS and express his gratitude for what they do day after day for our country.

“Getting to hang out with the Navy SEALS [Tuesday] night was truly the biggest honor of my life,” Owen says, according to a press release. “Everyone should go see ‘Act of Valor.’ The movie is so intense, but it’s real. It reminds you that every single day you should be very grateful to live in this country.”

In addition to seeing the movie, fans should also pick up a copy of the film’s official soundtrack, as Owen has a tune on the disc, which also features the likes of Keith Urban, Josh Kelley, Lady Antebellum, Trace Adkins and Sugarland, among others.

In other news relating to Owen, he will be performing his current Top 10 hit single, ‘Alone With You,’ on NBC’s ‘Late Night With Jimmy Fallon’ on Tuesday, Feb. 14 at 12:30AM ET.
