Jake Owen Takes Part In ‘No Shave November’ [Video]

If you see some people walking around town (or here at the radio station) looking a bit more scraggly than they normally do, don't worry!  You haven't missed the NHL playoffs yet and Gilette hasn't gone out of business.  They might be taking part in a fundraising effort called 'No Shave November' .

I'm actually one of those people.  It ain't pretty with me.  I don't grow beards well.  But it's for a great cause.  It's a fundraiser for St. Jude's Children's Hospital.  The idea is that you shave clean on the night of October 31st so that you've got a fresh start but then you don't shave again throughout the entire month. 

However, if you do need to shave for any reason, it'll cost you (or your wife).  It's $30 to get in and then if you decide to shave before it's over, it's $30 to get out.  BUT...if someone wants to keep you in it, they can top your $30.  It's a fun idea and it's for a good cause.  Plus, who really needs a good excuse to not shave?

Thursday night on Twitter, Jake Owen sent a message to his fans and his mom to let them all know why he's starting to get so scruffy.
