Jeff Gordon's 89th career Cup victory at Kansas Speedway Saturday night makes him the 9th driver in 11 races this season to end up in victory lane.  It's his third victory at Kansas and he becomes the first winner of a night-time race at the track.  He not only holds on to his series points lead, but now he has a victory to go along with it.

Kevin Harvick dominated the race and led the most laps, but some pit stop mistakes changed the outcome.  With 40 laps left, Gordon beat him out of the pits and Harvick just couldn't catch him.  He made up a lot of time on the final lap but had to settle for second.

Kasey Kahne. Joey Logano and Dale Earnhardt, Junior completed the Top 5.

Danica Patrick finished seventh for her best career Cup series finish.

The race was delayed 35 minutes by lightning and light rain, but the storm quickly moved out of the area.

The Sprint Showdown and the Nascar All-Star race is next weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
