This week, we are doing something that we haven't really done before: We have two Hometown Heroes. It’s a father and son from Niagara Falls, Jeremy and Jerry Chapman!

Jeremy is 20 years old and is currently in the 107 Air National Guard at Niagara Falls. He goes to school full time at University at Buffalo and is currently in Kuwait serving. His father, Jerry Chapman, is a veteran from the Air Force. He was in Vietnam and was a pilot in the F4 phantoms. He is now 69 and tougher than ever. His daughter writes that on his birthday, he had a heart attack but was back on his feet right away. He owns his own business with his wife, and he works every day, all day long. They own a 4-seater plane and love to go out flying in their free time.

This week, we would like to thank Jerry, Jeremy and the rest of the family for their hard work and dedication to our country. It is families like yours that make our country strong, and we are happy to make you all this week’s Hometown Heroes.

If you would like to nominate someone who is currently serving our country or has served in the past, click the button below. We will choose a new Hometown Hero each Friday. If their name is chosen, we will not only feature them right here on WYRK.com, but we'll be sure to thank them for their service on the air and dedicate the first song on Noon Tunes to them.
