Jewel Hosts New TV Show “Platinum Hit” [VIDEO]

First there was American Idol.  Recently NBC came out with The Voice. Now, there is a new music competition show.But this new show is not about who can sing the best, but rather about who can write the best. There is such a huge difference between a good singer and a great songwriter.  many people can sing well but they could never write a song if their life depended on it.

Last night was the premiere of the new TV show "Platinum Hit" hosted by singer/songwriter Jewel and former American Idol Judge Kara DioGuardi.  The premise is pretty simple.  Twelve songwriters are competing against each other for $100.000 and a recording contract. Here's more on the new show.
