Chad Kelly has been arrested in Colorado for illegally entering a home early this morning.

For awhile it looked as though Chad Kelly (the nephew of former Buffalo Bill Jim Kelly) was going to leave his demons in the past and become a star in the NFL.  But as of this morning, it looks like old habits haven't died.

Kelly's problems began years ago when he was kicked off the team with the Clemson tigers for "detrimental behavior."  Clemson coach Dabo Swinney  said Kelly showed "a pattern of behavior that is not consistent with the values of our program."

He went to a community college and then on to Ole Miss where his talent became even more evident.  This kid has some talent.  He was bound to be a star athlete somewhere.

He was drafted 253rd over all in the 2017 NFL Draft by the Denver Broncos.

That's what brought the WNY native to Colorado.  However, what he was doing before he got arrested is still in question.

The Englewood police responded to a call about a man who was standing outside a residence around 1am early Tuesday morning and while they were responding, the man had entered the home.  The man was chased from the residence by an occupant in the home and shortly after was arrested by police.

The Denver Broncos have responded, "We are disappointed that Chad Kelly was arrested early this morning. Our organization has been in contact with Chad, and we are in the process of gathering more information."

It was announced today (10/24) that he has been released by the organization.
