Chalk up another win for Joey Logano, his fifth of the season.  Logano beat Kyle Larson to the finish line at Kansas Speedway by half a second to insure himself a spot in the third round of the Chase for the Sprint Cup championship.  It's his first win at Kansas, eighth of his career and ties with Brad Keselowski for most victories this season.

But despite his five victories this season, Keslowski risks falling out of the running for the championship after blowing a front tire and slamming into the wall.  He finished 36th and dropped to 10th in the standings.  And he was joined by several other top-name drivers at the bottom of the standings.

Dale Earnhardt, Jr. led 45 laps before he blew a tire and hit the wall.  Earnhardt finished 39th and dropped to 11th.

Jimmie Johnson also had a tough day.  He was involved in a wreck that included Greg Biffle, Justin Allgaier and Josh Wise that put him out of the race.  He finished 40th and dropped him to 12th in the standings.  It put a serious dent in his hopes for a 7th straight championship.

Charlotte is up next on the schedule on Saturday night.
