Saturday was a huge party day...Cinco De Mayo...Kentucky Derby...Super Moon!! LOL  For me, the day was all about the Kentucky Derby.  I had been studying the racing form for two days and felt that I had picked out good horses.  I must have gone through five lists of horses with some names remaining consistent on each list. So, my method of thinking was--take the ones that appeared on each list.  At first glance, I picked Bodiemeister, Daddy Nose Best, and I'll Have Another.  Then my attention shifted to the 5 horse- Dullahan.  I read up quite a bit on Dullahan and figured that he'd be in the money somehow (meaning, finishing 1st, 2nd or 3rd).  At this point, my two horses were..... Dullahan and Bodiemeister.  I'd try to pair those two with horses that I felt had a chance.  I played exotics because I wanted to hit on more than just a regular "win." I wanted to hit big.  To make a long story short, I had the 2nd and 3rd place finishing horses, but didn't consider my first/initial picks- I'll Have Another.  I phased him out within minutes because there was so much hype around undefeated "Gemologist." In all, I blew 30 bucks, but had a great time.  If you missed the race, here's a montage/recap...check out the video!
