After just under five years hosting the CBS Evening News Katie Couric made her final appearance Thursday night.  She spent part of the program looking back on some of the stories and newsmakers she covered during her stint in the anchor chair.
She saved her farewell until the end calling it "an incredible journey" and "an extraordinary privilege."

"60 Minutes" reporter Scott Pelley will take over in the anchor chair. Couric's future is undetermined. She's rumored to be headed for an afternoon talk show.
