Halloween is a scary holiday.  There are bloody, severed body parts and zombies everywhere.  If you've got little kids in the house, celebrating that holiday can create a bit of a challenge.  But it doesn't all have to be blood curdling screams this Halloween.

If you're looking to celebrate the day without having to stay up all night to calm the night terrors, here are a list of Halloween movies that are good for your kids to watch:

Bedknobs and Broomsticks (1971)

It's got magic!  It's got witches!  It's got a floating bed.  Your kids will love this one.

Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit (2006)

Casper (1995)

He's a friendly ghost.  How scary can it be??

Hocus Pocus (1993)

This one is a Halloween classic starring Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, And Kathy Najimy as three sisters who return to Salem Massachusetts to take back their town.

Ghostbusters (1984)

Ok...the language in this one might not be perfect for the very little ones, but if they're old enough to handle that, they'll love this ghost hunting classic!

Pooh’s Heffalump Halloween Movie (2005)

It's Whinny the Pooh.  How scary could this one be?  We watched this one a lot when my kids were little...

It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown (1966)

It's not a holiday without Charlie Brown.  Check this one out as the gang goes trick or treating and gets a rock.  Plus, Linus spends a night in the Pumpkin Patch to catch sight of The Great Pumpkin!
