It's a shame. One of the biggest concerns, especially with young drivers on the road, is texting while driving.

Alex Heit was in the middle of texting when he realized he was drifting into oncoming traffic, jerked his wheel and rolled his car.

He was found minutes later, and his phone was still on and idle on the text message that he was in the middle of texting.

Alex was responding to a friend by typing, "Sounds good my man, seeya soon, ill tw," before he crashed.

He was taken to North Colorado Medical Center, where he later died. Now his parents are hoping to convince others not to text and drive.

The name of the message's recipient was redacted by the Greeley Police to protect the recipient's identity.

Alex was 22.
