Now that LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian are reality TV stars, they're hoping that they can lay to rest any rumors about their relationship. They want fans to see them as what they insist they are -- just two people in love.

"People are always wanting to make it a story of me being a homewrecker and trying to take someone's kids," Rimes explains to People. "They take the love I have for my family and twist it around in some weird, sick way."

The country singer and her actor husband have been married since 2011 and have been tabloid targets since their relationship began. So, they're being especially careful with 'LeAnn and Eddie.'

Cibrian's children with Brandi Glanville, Mason, 11, and Jake, 7, won't appear on the show. Cibrian is convinced that the show will make it clear that he loves Rimes and that he's devoted to their marriage.

"The biggest global misconception would be that we're not two people who are really in love with each other, that there are ulterior motives to our relationship," Cibrian assures. "But people just don't get it. Hopefully people will get a chance to see how we just click."

'LeAnn and Eddie' airs Thursday evenings at 10:30PM ET on VH1.
