Country-pop singer Leanne Weiss is sharing her brand-new video with Taste of Country readers before they can see it anywhere else.

"Momentum" is the title track of Weiss' latest EP, which she released in November of 2015. The song has a very distinctive pop flavor to it, and Weiss has earned positive reviews, with the Boot calling her sound "country-pop at its finest," while Country Music Is Love and Got Country have also praised her music.

"Momentum" juxtaposes swirling synthesizers and banjos for a very unique blend, and the video for the song is just as much of an interesting mix, interspersing shots of Weiss performing in a field, in front of a distant mountain range and elsewhere with scenes of her writing in a journal in the woods and working in the studio.

The lyrics offer up a positive message, married to a strong singalong hook: "And I know that I'm on my way / And I'll go where the music takes me / Nothing standing in my way / When I've got momentum."

Weiss began singing at age 9, and began performing professionally as a singer and actor after college. Her influences include Faith Hill, Celine Dion and Carrie Underwood. She released her debut EP, For Love, in late 2013, and in June of 2015 she opened for Dierks Bentley at the Farmborough Festival in New York City. She has also appeared on TV and local and college radio, and shared the stage with Michael Ray and Josh Dorr.
