Lighting Up Buffalo Grain Silos

There's been a long-time debate over what to do about Buffalo's numerous abandoned grain silos.  Some people think they're an eyesore and should be torn down despite the high cost.  Others think they should remain standing forever as monuments to Buffalo's industrial past.

While that question remains unanswered the silos just across the Buffalo River from Canalside have been illuminated for nightly light shows.  With unusually mild weather this week large crowds turned out to see the show for themselves.  Many people brought their own chairs to enjoy it.  Just prior to the Buffalo Sabres game against Tampa Bay on Thursday night I had a chance to get the opinions of some of the people who were seeing it for the first time.
