A full country project from Justin Timberlake might not be too far off. In a post to social media early Monday morning (March 21), the singer revealed that he is working with Little Big Town.

Timberlake shared a photo of himself with LBT's Karen Fairchild and Kimberly Schlapman, along with the caption, "NBD ... Just writing with @littlebigtown."

"This band is the truth!!" the Memphis-born superstar adds. "So good!!!!"

Little Big Town re-tweeted Timberlake's photo, but neither act has remarked further on their collaboration.

Following his oh-so-good performance with Chris Stapleton at the 2015 CMA Awards in November, Timberlake released his song "Drink You Away" as a single to country radio. The tune comes from Timberlake’s 2013 album,The 20/20 Experience — 2 of 2 and was part of his and Stapleton’s performance, which also included “Tennessee Whiskey." In early February, the song earned the No. 60 slot on the Billboard Country Airplay chart, becoming Timberlake's first charting solo country song.

Per an early November Facebook post from Ronnie Dunn, Timberlake has bought land and is building a house in the Nashville area. When asked if Timberlake would ever further explore country music, his producer, Timbaland, told TMZ simply, "Why not?"

“That’s something I want to do. 'Cause I am music, so I don’t discriminate no genres," Timbaland adds. "I learn it and I study it and I love it.”
