What a week! I was in Nashville last week because my dad was being inducted into the Country Radio Hall of Fame! It was a huge honor and moment in his career and I wouldn't have missed it for the world. Seven programmers, three off-air broadcasters and four on-air personalities/shows, were inducted. Martina McBride was presented the CRB Artist Career Achievement Award, and Mike Dungan received 2017 President’s Award.

My dad actually asked me to introduce him and officially induct him into the Hall of Fame! I wasn't nervous about this task until the host announced who all was in attendance that night. The room was full of not just powerful people, but people I've looked up to growing up in radio. I realized that if I wasn't as funny as I thought I could offended a lot of people from different parts of the industry in one swoop. I didn't though and it was so special for me to be able to induct the man who taught me almost everything I know about the business.

Here are our speeches!

Our family was on hand and they couldn't have been more proud of their baby brother and uncle. We had a great couple of days together and were able to explore Nashville! We were able to hit up Broadway, the Country Music Hall of Fame and even see Vince Gill at the Ryman Auditorium for their Bluegrass series! Here are some pictures!
