We're going super simple on this Liz's Kitchen! As the weather gets cooler it gets easier to grill without needing a shower afterward. I love grilling not just because of the flavor it gives meals but also because of the easier cleanup! This recipe is a Whole30 approved recipe and it's also a recipe that you can make your own. Next time I would use less thyme a little more salt and a lot more garlic. With the base of the recipe, you can add any seasoning to the packet that you want! Get ready for some easy grilling and easy cleanup!

Steak And Potatoe Foil Packets

  • 2-2 1/2 pounds top sirloin steak, cut into 2 1/2-inch pieces
  • 1 pound baby yellow potatoes quartered (or halved if they're smaller)
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • fresh thyme or parsley for topping

Turn your grill high and let it preheat. Cut your meat and your potatoes and get all your spices out! I would take this opportunity to parboil your potatoes just because they will cook quicker and more evenly in the foil packet. You don't need to do this but it might make the cooking process easier.

Places the meat and potatoes in a giant bowl and oil and spices and mix together well.

Evenly divide the mixture into four foil packets and seal. I even double foil wrap to make sure they're really sealed.

Place on the grill and cook for about 10 minutes on each side over the high heat. With a few minutes left, you can open your packet to get a little more char on your meat if you'd like.

Pull off the grill and slowly open your packet and enjoy!
