Lockport’s Charles Palumbo Is This Week’s Hometown Hero

It’s time once again for our Hometown Hero, brought to you by Batavia Downs Gaming with help from our friends at WNY Heroes who help us with our nominations every week.  This week, our Hometown Hero from Lockport, NY is Specialist Charles Palumbo!

Specialist Charles Palumbo from Lockport, NY was US Army Military Police with the 53rd troop command 105th MP Company out of Buffalo.  He joined the military in September 2006.

Charles, along with his unit, deployed to Iraq from 2011 to 2012 to close down the bases and train the local police so our men and women could come home. Charles finally made it home safe finishing his 8 year contract and finished his time in the military September of 2014.

He was awarded the Army Achievement medal, Global War on Terrorism medal, Iraq campaign medal with campaign star, along with other service medals.

Once again we are honored to be able to tell you about the people who are fighting to make our world a safer place.  This week, we are proud to name Specialist Charles Palumbo our Hometown Hero of the week!
