It's not a secret that women struggle more when it comes to selling record versus men in country music. But, when a country music consultant went on the record for Country Aircheck, he had to know he was going to get some backlash regardless of how accurate the statement was. Here's what consultant Keith Hill said:

Finally, Hill cautions against playing too many females. And playing them back to back, he says, is a no-no. “If you want to make ratings in Country radio, take females out,” he asserts. “The reason is mainstream Country radio generates more quarter hours from female listeners at the rate of 70 to 75%, and women like male artists."
We're not sure if the former Sugarland singer, was mad but she wasn't about to let that slide without a comment of her own. A big ole one in fact...
