Look What Happened To This Statue In Buffalo This Weekend…

here's already a petition to try and get rid of the statue and change the park's name. Now, for the second time in recent memory, this Christopher Columbus statue on the west side of Buffalo has been vandalized. In 2015, the statue was spray painted with the word 'rape' on it.

By the time Monday morning rolled around the post was shared over 22,000 times and the Buffalo PD are still looking for a little help. In a time where some monuments and statues are becoming 'controversial' as of late, the police are looking to see who did this. On Facebook the BPD wrote:

Sometime overnight, this statue was vandalized in Columbus Park on the City's west side. Anyone with information on who may be responsible is asked to call or text the confidential tip line at 716 847-2255.
