It's not even Christmas yet - a whole lot of games left to play, but it's looking more and more like the Sabres just don't have what it takes to get into the playoffs.  They have a whole lot of work to do to improve this team.  The guys they have are not good enough and it was very evident in a lost weekend in Florida.  The Sabres fell to Tampa Bay 3 to 1 Saturday night after getting blown out the night before 6 to 2 against the Panthers in South Florida.  Ryan Miller did all he could to keep the Sabres in it against the Lightning, stopping 34 shots, some of them spectacular saves.  The guys in front of him though came up way short.  Jason Pominville scored the lone Buffalo goal.  The Sabres are back home Tuesday night against Anaheim.
