Who would think that someone could be arrested for letting go of balloons into the air? Well, Anthony Brasfield,40, wanted to buy his girlfriend, Shaquina Baxter, some helium balloons to show how much he cared. He released about a dozen balloons over Dania Beach in Florida, and the couple watched them float away.

But a FHP Trooper also saw them -- not as a cute gesture, but as a harm to the environment.

They arrested Brasfield for polluting harm to humans, animals, plants, etc., which is under the Florida Air and Water Pollution Control Act. He can receive up to 5 years in prison.
