Last Friday's NFL trade that sent nose tackle Marcell Dareus from the Buffalo Bills to the Jacksonville Jaguars happened so quickly, Dareus was out of Buffalo so quickly he hardly had time to say goodbye.  He put his thoughts together about his time in Buffalo in a letter to the Buffalo News and it's nothing but first class.

Dareus certainly had his troubles while in Buffalo with league suspensions, team discipline for being late to meetings and run-ins with the law, but his work and generosity in the inner city is often over-looked.  It's over-looked because he wanted it that way as he quietly gave his time and donations thru his Dareus Foundation to children and families in need.

Dareus thanked the fans of Buffalo who he called "the best people and fans in the world."  He said he will always cherish memories of his time in Buffalo and the city will always "hold a special place in my heart."
