Mondays can be rough, but this Monday (April 25) couldn't have been too bad for Maren Morris, because she got to debut her single, "My Church," on national television as a part of Good Morning America's live broadcast.

With her band and acoustic guitar in tow, the country newcomer gave the entire audience a heart-filled performance that included old school twang and modern age soul. Her uniquely rugged voice was the perfect platform for the vocal range she provided through out the entire song.

"My Church" will be featured on her upcoming debut full-length album, Hero. Morris co-wrote each of the 11 tracks featured on the project, as well as co-produced it with producer Busbee. Hero is slated to be released on June 3.

“I’ve come such a long way from who I was in Texas, who I am as a writer, who I am as a woman today," Morris shares. "I think the message of this record is self acceptance and awareness, and that to me is heroic."

The day before the album release, Morris will kick off her summer as an opening act for Keith Urban as a part of his Ripcord Tour. Also joining them on their musical road trip will be Brett Eldredge. That trek will wind its way through the country all the way until it wraps at the end of November in Brooklyn.
