The incredible season of Martin Truex, Jr. continued on Sunday at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Truex led 91 of 337 laps to win a race that needed overtime to decide. It's his sixth win this season and his second in the playoffs.

Truex's victory insures him a spot in the next round of the playoffs, the Round of 8.  He already has a large in the playoff standings because of stage wins, race victories and his regular season championship.

Chase Elliott came in second for the sixth time this season.  He led 12 laps, but came in just over 9/10ths of a second behind Truex.

Kevin Harvick led a race-high 149 laps but settled for third.  Denny Hamlin and Jamie McMurray completed the Top 5.

Kyle Busch had a tough day.  The winner of the last two races hit the wall three times and spun once to finish 12 laps down in 29th place, last of the 12 playoff contenders.

The next race is a restrictor plate track - Talladega Motor Speedway next Sunday.
