(Youtube)

At 99 years old, she’s America’s oldest teacher and says she doesn’t even think about retiring.  Agnes Zhelesnik is known as “Granny” at the Sundance School in North Plainfield, NJ and her story is amazing.

Agnes was a stay at home mom and wife for 60 years before she considered teaching.  So in 1995 at the age of 82 she began teaching and she says it’s the kids that keep her coming.  She teaches cooking, sewing and costume-making at the school where her daughter also teaches.  Her daughter is 61.

Agnes says she might consider retirement when she turns 100 next year.
