Today (Thursday, July 26), I had the pleasure of meeting new artist, D. Vincent Williams. You may not recognize his name yet, but if you've been a country music fan for any length of time, you've probably heard his songs.  In 2002, Williams wrote the Rascal Flatts' blockbuster, “I’m Movin’ On,” named the 2003 Academy of Country Music Awards' Song of the Year.

Later, he penned the multi-week no. 1-charting song on all three country charts, “Just Got Started Lovin’ You,” recorded by James Otto in 2008.

He is impressive on so many levels.  He writes, he sings, he plays.  He’s the real deal, and I hope you enjoy his music as much as my staff and I did when he played for us.

Let me set the scene for you.  We leave our studios and step onto a tour bus, where we were greeted by D and his band.  From there, we were entertained with four amazing songs that will be included on his first CD, which I hope will be out this fall.  The first single, called “Down by the River,” is an upbeat track that’s a bit reminiscent of The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.

Check out a couple of the new songs by D. Vincent Williams in the videos below.
