It's times like this I feel honored to be a part of the country music industry. Maddie Law, a 14-year-old Clarence resident who lives with cerebral palsy, was able to meet her idol Carrie Underwood backstage before her show at First Niagara Center.

It all started on social media and with the help of Channel 7's Matt Bove, who made us aware of Maddie's wish. I was able to reach out to Carrie's label, who were so accommodating in making Maddie's dream come true.

Sometimes the cards fall into place and just by sending an email or two you can have a small part in something magical. I'm very fortunate to work in an industry with artists like Carrie Underwood who make time for their super fans!

Well done Arista Nashville and Carrie Underwood and thanks Maddie for making me smile too!
