The thing about tabloids is that you can't believe everything you read in them. As a matter of fact, you probably shouldn't believe anything you read in them. But if you do, you may believe that Miranda Lambert allegedly threatened to punch a woman in the mouth.

According to a story printed in The National Enquirer, the dispute took place after Miranda visited a new shop that was opening up a couple doors down from her store The Pink Pistol in Tishomingo.

Melanie Peden says she invited Lambert to visit her store for its grand opening, only to hear Miranda accuse her of stealing the property. According to the story, Lambert had inquired about the property where Peden put her new antique shop but had never formally asked to buy it.  So she was taken by surprise when Miranda allegedly lost her temper and threatened her.

“She had a complete meltdown and threatened to ‘punch me in the mouth’ if I kept talking.”

-- Melanie Peden

Again, stories like this need to be looked at with an open mind, but Peden says she has filed a complaint with the authorities.

Do you believe Miranda threatened this woman or do you think she made the story up to make the news?
