The Grammy nominations special aired last night on CBS and Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert earned multiple nominations.  Lady A led the pack with six nominations from the album “Need You Now”.  Miranda Lambert was the only country artist to perform on the show.  “I’m so excited to be here representing country music for all my peeps” she told LL Cool J, the show’s host.  Miranda landed in the “all-genre” song of the year category for “The House That Built Me’, along with Lady Antebellum “Need You Now”.

Now to the country artists who were noticeably missing from this year’s nominations.  I was shocked that Reba wasn’t nominated for female vocalist after what has been a record year for her, that’s just weird to me.  Brad Paisley too, I mean come on the guy just won the CMA entertainer of the year!  I guess you can’t win ‘em all right?

The Grammy Awards will air February 13th on CBS.
