Jake Owen is the most recent country star to announce that he is expecting a child (his first), but it's been quite a few months for baby announcements from country stars. Check out who else is ready (whether they like it or not) to become parents.

  • Owen and wife Lacey Buchanan were engaged in April and wed in May, causing some speculation for the quick chain of events.  "From the day I met her, there was no doubt in my mind I wanted to marry her, and we always knew we wanted a family," Owen told People.com. "The way we saw it, the baby news was a bonus on top of the engagement, but we didn't want anyone to think we were getting married because Lacey was pregnant, and we wanted to celebrate our wedding first."
  • J.T. Hodges is expecting his second daughter with his wife in a few months. Hodges exploded on the country scene last year with "Hunt You Down," and now, he is giving fans the chance to pick his follow-up single to "Goodbyes Made You Mine" in a poll on his Facebook page.
  • Jennifer Nettles can now add another job to her resume: mother. The one-half of Sugarland and her husband, model Justin Miller, are expecting their first baby. While Sugarland has strayed from the charts recently, Nettles has been a mentor on the TV show Duets (which is pretty cool, so if you haven’t seen it—go watch it).
  • Hopefully Dixie Chick Emily Robinson has a big enough house to add another to her clan! The "Wide Open Spaces" singer is expecting a child with boyfriend Martin Strayer this fall. This will be the fourth child for Robinson, 39, but her first with Strayer; her other three children are with her ex-husband, whom she divorced in 2008.
