They're famous for their documentaries on the Civil War, Baseball, Jazz, Prohibition and the National Parks and now they're turning their attention toward Country Music.  And for this one Ken Burns and Dayton Duncan are looking for your home movies to help tell the story.

Burns and Duncan’s new documentary series scheduled to premier in 2019 will focus on the history of country music and you can help them tell the story. They're asking fans and musicians for their home movies for possible use in the film series.

What they're looking for is movies or videos of families enjoying country music in parks, fairs and concerts between the 1950's up thru the mid 1990's.  Especially valuable is any behind the scenes movies you might have of country musicians or singers.

Western New York has such a rich history in country music and wouldn't it be great to include some of what we have experienced in this area with the rest of the world?  Here's your chance to share it.

If any of your material is used in the documentary you'll receive a free DVD of the series, a poster signed by Ken Burns and your name will appear in the credits.

Only DVD or digital copies will be accepted - do not send originals because they will not be returned.  If they decide to use your submission you'll be contacted about getting access to the original movie or video.

Include a brief description of what the video is (location, month and year along with your name, address, phone number and email address.  Send them to:
