Music is something you feel in your soul and we've seen success stories surrounding all types of music therapy for different situations including music therapy used to comfort the kids at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis.  An innovative music therapy from the Blues Foundation in Memphis, Tennessee the Nurs’n Blues Program has now come to Buffalo as Music is Art  teams with the Blues Society of Western New York.

Patti Parks, is a local blues musician and nurse, who came up with the instrumental coping mechanism and it's truly is an awesome thing.  Music is Art's involvement is hoping to expand these types of music therapy programs in Western New York.

I can't tell you how many times I've turned to music to help me cope with various challenges that I've faced, and that's a small blimp on the scale of what music does to help those in need who are sick and need soothing to help them cope.
