If I ever saw a shark, the first thing I would do would be to run!  But 62-year-old Paul Marshallsea did things differently.

Marshallsea and his 56-year-old wife, Wendy, were on leave from their job, Pant & Dowlais Boys & Girls Club, since January. They took a leave from work due to "work-related stress."

During their leave from work, Marshallsea was spotted on an Australian beach grabbing a shark and pulling it in the opposite direction away from children. This video that was captured by a local television crew went viral. London's Telegraph newspaper referred to Marshallsea as "a hero."

When the couple returned home from Australia, they received a letter from their job stating that both of them have been fired. They have both worked there for over 10 years.

Marshallsea told London's newspaper, "You think being in charge and running a children's charity, they would have patted me on the back and congratulated me, but to sack us both without any sort of discussion first is just disgusting."
