In the wake of Brussels bombings and the death of 31 people as a result, the NFTA here in Western New York announced that it will be increasing security and wants the public to feel safe.

Expect more NFTA officers to patrol the buses, rail lines and the Buffalo and Niagara Falls airports.

Director of Public Affairs, Douglas Hartmaye said:

This is not in response to any local threats or directives, but simply as an abundance of caution on the authority’s part to make the traveling public and employees at these facilities feel more secure."
