As everyone goes out on Black Friday to score deals and get some Christmas shopping done, I'm sure one thing that is on a lot of Christmas lists but can't fulfill is the void of hockey this season. Every day that goes by we lose more and more hope that there will not be hockey for the whole season. Wednesday meetings were held and here's what the update.

The Player’s Association & bargaining committee met twice Wednesday. Once as the Player’s Association gave a proposal to the NHL and another time when the NHL ultimately declined it. Therefore, still no Collective Bargaining Agreement between the NHL Players' Association and the NHL

Today, The National Hockey League announced that the schedule through December 14 of this season will be cancelled. The NHL also announced the cancellation of the 2013 NHL All-Star Weekend which, I look forward too much, much more than the NFL Pro Bowl.

According to NHL.com, NHL Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly said, "The reality of losing more regular-season games as well as the 2013 NHL All-Star Weekend in Columbus is extremely disappointing . We feel badly for NHL fans and particularly those in Columbus, and we intend to work closely with the Blue Jackets organization to return the NHL All-Star events to Columbus and their fans as quickly as possible."
