Would you buy ice cream from a store that used what looked like a Ku Klux Klan outfit as a mascot? People in Ocala, Florida were steering clear of the place exactly for that reason and the owners of the place had no idea why. The Ice Cream Family Corner and Sandwiches restaurant opened just a few months ago and business was good until their mascot began appearing in front of the store trying to attract customers, but did just the opposite.

Up close you can see the costume represents a waffle cone on the bottom topped with ice cream with sprinkles, but from a distance it looked like a KKK outfit. The owners of the restaurant are from Puerto Rico and say they never even heard of the KKK until they began hearing comments from customers and especially on Facebook that people were offended. They say their only intent was to promote ice cream and has dumped the costume.
