It was a cold, crisp bright sunny morning on Saturday, March 17th - St. Patrick's Day in Buffalo and the old neighborhood parade drew another huge crowd of folks who lined the streets to take in the sites and sounds of the St. Patrick's Day parade.

The parade route always winds through the streets of the historic Buffalo River Community including South Park Avenue, Smith Street, Elk Street, Hamburg Street, and South Street.

Over 100 marching units participated, making the “Old Neighborhood” St. Patrick’s Day Parade just as large as the downtown edition!! Marching contingents will include marching bands, floats, social clubs, classic cars, Irish dancers, family clans, fire and police departments, and much more!!

Keith Kelly, who you hear on Buffalo's New Country every afternoon reporting traffic, attended this year's parade and took lots of pictures that I wanted to share here. Looks like all who attended had a wonderful time watching the parade.
