One Way to Honor Veterans in WNY Today – Visit the Buffalo, Erie Naval Park [VIDEO]

Last year Clay, Dale and I were lucky enough to get a private tour of the USS The Sullivans and USS Croaker from Jess, one of the many knowledgeable docents at the Naval Park. Highly entertaining and educational, we recommend the tour for a family or just yourself.

Most school children have today off and this would make a great trip for them to learn about what some of the veterans went through while they served our country and how they lived while deployed. In addition to the three vessels, there are also memorials for each of the branches and many of the battles in which local servicemen/woman and lost their lives.

The Buffalo and Erie County Naval and Military Park receives no federal funding for upkeep, so it’s up to the community to make sure we support this amazing gem located right here in Buffalo!
