The 2011 Oscar nominations were announced this morning in Beverly Hills, and there are no real surprises this year.  “Black Swan”, “The fighter”, “Inception”, “The Kids Are All Right”, “The King’s Speech”, “127 Hours”, “The Social Network”, “True Grit”, “Winter’s Bone” and “Toy Story 3” all received nods for best picture.  It’s a long shot, but what a headline it would make if an animated film won best picture.  Best actress nominees include Annette Bening who I thought was brilliant in “The Kids Are All Right”.  Nicole Kidman gets nominated for “Rabbit Hole”, and Natalie Portman as expected receives a nod for “Black Swan”.   And the song "Coming Home" from the movie Country Strong was also nominated.  The Academy Awards will air on February 27th.  For a complete list of nominees, click here: Academy Awards
