5 Uses for Beer (Other Than Drinking It)

Slugs and snails can destroy a garden. To solve the problem sink a pie tin into the surface of the garden and fill it with beer. The slugs and snails will be attracted to it and drown. Keep filling it with fresh beer every day.

You can also fertilize your garden with beer. Have any left over half bottles or cans of beer from a party? Pour it in the garden. The yeast and other ingredients in beer are excellent for plants.

I’m not ready to try this one – but they say beer makes a great shampoo. Mix a can of beer with a raw egg and use it like you’d any other shampoo. Supposedly it adds body and luster to your hair. About once a month will do.

Beer makes a good marinade for meat or veggies. Marinate it in beer for a few hours. Be adventurous by experimenting with various spices.

Beer makes a good furniture polish. Let the beer go flat, then pour some on a polishing cloth. It’ll really brighten up dull looking wood furniture.
