The 33rd annual Canal Fest in the Tonawandas is underway through Sunday.  It includes rides, games, great food and daily events, including my favorite one -- the Canal Fest parade.  It's a two-hour parade starting in the City of Tonawanda on the Erie County side of the Erie Canal to North Tonawanda on the Niagara County side.

WYRK has been a part of the parade every year for as far back as....I just can't remember us not being in the parade. The only problem with being a part of the parade is that you don't get to see the parade.

One thing we can do is give you an idea of how it looks from our end and it looks fantastic.  The smiling faces - especially the faces of kids is something that brings me back every year.  Here's a little bit of the way we saw this year's Canal Fest parade.
